Found maggots in some of the pupas this morning and destroyed / tossed them all out. I was afraid of this as I had seen some baby caterpillars with large egg cases laid onto their backside. I can only assume that the giant caterpillars I collected had been infected at some point by predatory wasps. I thought the wasp larva infection would prevent the caterpillars from pupating but I guess not.
Really gross.
